The heart of Spain too often ignored by international tourism, Castile is a melting pot of history and art.
From modern Madrid with its superb museums and its life, to the Arab Toledo projected from the Middle Ages, Salamanca home to an ancient and prestigious university and full of churches and palaces, Valladolid which was the capital before the unification with Aragon, passing through an infinite number of lesser-known cities (Aranjuez, Cuenca,....), you can wander around for weeks without ever getting bored.

Valladolid Park is home to beautiful royal peacocks, who love to pose for tourists.

A few steps from Cuenca, the Huécar Valley offers scenery that seems sculpted by time. In the photo there is a panorama of ochre-colored rock walls, shaped by erosion into vertical shapes reminiscent of large natural organs. At the base of the cliffs, an expanse of pine trees dresses the entire slope in green, creating a vibrant contrast with the warm color of the rock.
A road winds along the valley floor, following the course of the Huécar River and offering those who travel it a journey immersed in the most authentic nature of the Serranía de Cuenca. The clear sky, dotted with white clouds, amplifies the feeling of spaciousness and peace that this valley conveys.
It is a place that invites you to walk, to stop, to breathe deeply: an embrace between earth and sky, where silence is interrupted only by the wind in the trees and the distant call of birds. Perfect for those looking for spectacular landscapes tailored to contemplation.
